I found this book in the gift shop at Bletchley Park and it cost me about £6. It is full of puzzles for all levels, which are to be solved in teams. All the instructions are on the cards, and part of the problem for the students is they have to work out what they have to do. You can photocopy a page of A4 cards onto coloured card and laminate them.Hand them out to students in pairs or small groups and just tell them to figure out what they have to do. Each card has a “clue” or some information required for the finished outcome. I have already tried the “Magic Square” game, which involves knowing what Prime, palindromic, Square, Cube and Triangle numbers are. My students loved it, although with year 7s I had to remind them of what some of these types of numbers were. In future I will stick up some help sheets around the room, so students have to get up and find this information out themselves. I then got them to write some notes on each type of number and I asked some true or false questions to test their knowledge.
I will add some more information of any other of the team games I use.
